2022: A Cloud-Shaped Year for Manufacturing
A Cloud-Led Future for Manufacturing
Chris Stock looks back on some of the successes 2022 brought and points to an exciting year ahead for ERP in manufacturing.
With cloud spending continuing to increase year on year, it’s perhaps no surprise that 2022 signified the first year in which every net new deal for Inforlogic was cloud-shaped.
We’ve seen significant investment in ERP from our manufacturing customer base, with four out of five existing customers considering a move to the cloud, recognising the value of being on the latest technology in a flexible, scalable model.
Working closely with Infor, we’re speaking to more and more customers who are embracing the visibility and insight-led, fast-paced decision-making, which Infor CloudSuite Industrial facilitates. In a world where agility and resilience have become prerequisites rather than peripheral attributes, manufacturers are moving away from their legacy on-premise systems and recognising the benefits of cloud ERP as part of their journey into a new era where change is the only real constant.
2022 marked a significant turning point for manufacturing technology. As organisations continued to invest in digital transformation, cloud ERP emerged as the preferred platform for forward-thinking manufacturers.
For Inforlogic, the shift was unmistakable. Every new project secured during the year had a cloud-led focus, highlighting how rapidly manufacturers are moving away from legacy on-premise systems and towards modern, scalable ERP solutions.
Manufacturers are increasingly recognising the strategic value of cloud technology. From real-time operational visibility to improved collaboration and faster decision-making, cloud ERP enables organisations to operate with greater agility and resilience in an ever-changing market.
Working closely with Infor, we’re seeing more companies embrace the capabilities of Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial). By providing integrated data, advanced analytics and powerful manufacturing functionality, the platform enables businesses to make faster, more informed decisions across the entire organisation.
As the pace of change accelerates, the ability to adapt quickly is becoming a critical competitive advantage. Cloud ERP gives manufacturers the flexibility to scale, innovate and respond to new challenges without the limitations of legacy systems.
Supporting the Transition to the Cloud
Alongside the growing demand for cloud ERP, many manufacturers are also recognising the importance of expert guidance when navigating digital transformation.
Inforlogic’s consultancy team works closely with customers to support their journey to the cloud. By combining deep technical expertise with real-world manufacturing experience, our consultants help organisations plan, implement and optimise their ERP systems with confidence.
For many businesses, this partnership provides a valuable extension of their own internal teams. It enables them to access specialist knowledge and project management skills without the need to build large in-house IT resources.
The demand for this expertise continued to grow throughout 2022. As a result, Inforlogic expanded its consultancy team and achieved record levels of growth.
Looking Ahead
The momentum behind cloud ERP shows no sign of slowing. As manufacturers continue to pursue greater efficiency, visibility and resilience, modern cloud platforms will play an increasingly central role in supporting long-term growth.
For Inforlogic and our customers, 2022 was a clear indication of where the future lies — a cloud-powered manufacturing landscape built on innovation, insight and agility.
